Occupational English Test (OET)
The Occupational English Test (also known as OET) is an international English language test for the healthcare sector who want to work or study in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Ukraine, Dubai, and Singapore, etc. It assesses the language communication skills of healthcare professionals who wish to register and practice in an English-speaking environment.
OET is available for the following 12 professions: dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology, and veterinary science. OET is comparatively easier for most healthcare professionals such as nurses than other general English tests like IELTS.
OET has four parts Listening (approx. 50 minutes), Reading (1 hour), Writing (45 minutes), Speaking (20 minutes). It provides a valid and reliable assessment of all four language parts with an emphasis on communication in healthcare settings. By taking OET you will prove you have the right level of English.
