TOEFL stands for Test of English as a Foreign Language. It is a regular test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers who wish to get admission in English-speaking universities. IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. This test is performed by two administrations that is IDP and British Council. It has two different segments. One is Academic which is done by students mostly for student Visa and other is General which people usually do for Work Permit and Permanent Residency. There are four modules in the test that is Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The three modules Reading Writing and Listening are on a single day whereas for Speaking different time is allotted. This paper is held in all the major cities of every country once a month. Pearson’s Test of English (PTE)

Pearson’s Test of English (PTE) is a computer-based international test that checks the English language proficiency of aspiring students. The test structure has questions based on real-life settings, which are used to measure individual English language skills. It is one of the important tests that analyse the efficiency of non-native English speakers.

The test is a computer-based test that assesses English speaking, listening, writing and reading abilities of students. These are the four critical aspects that ensure the easy and smooth transition of students in an English speaking country.

The test has two different modules: writing module and listening module. While in the writing module the candidate has to write answers on a secure computerized system, for the listening module the candidate’s voice is recorded.

PTE’s score is regarded and accepted by most of the renowned universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. It is also advocated and authorized by the Graduate Management Admission Council. The result of the test is announced within 5 days of the test and thus, students do not have to wait to apply for different universities.
